Pissed off about downgrading service on ebay (any help?)

you need to tell him to supply you with a dump file... if he crapped in your flash then your SOL without a good backup.

i think he was bullshitting you about using just software... just sucks to see a cechA model die from a noob like that

and the only other way to tell is to dump your flash and see for your self. or upload it for other people to check. if your console was NOR i would have did it for you man. i have a 100% success rate so far. i know personally that the clips for progskeet arent the best, and you have to use them with care (and they cost 50 bucks or more a pop, unless someone has released a better version)

Crystal blue already have the 111126 bitstreams iirc. It only speeds up nand read/write and enables zif connector on the bottom of the flasher. You can bypass that by soldering from the pins to the red board of the clip-set.

Sadly, but Crystal Blue needs to be updated once to make solderless NAND work. Instead, may I advice you buying NAND solderboard with clip? Believe me, it takes 20 minutes or so to get things setted up.
And yeah, as Noobzilla said, a pity and shame if cechA dies this way... The only fully BC console and become a paperweight like that...

also at cough* ps3jailbreaking.com *cough i have done many downgrades, and also around my area and havent had a brick yet. ive tried to get people from this site (USA ONLY tho) to send me their NOR consoles for downgrade, but i have yet to get a response.

i only do NOR consoles, that is, until a better NAND clip surfaces. im not spending 50-60 bucks on a 360clip

I think he should try to fix it for you. If he is technically inclined, he should be able to do it.

Unless you tinkered with it yourself and when you bricked it (to the point of no return), you then panicked and hoped he could fix it for you. You said earlier that you had tinkered with it by adding a fan mod? Hmm?

I usually like to hear both side of the stories...

A few questions:

1. What was the original firmware of this unit when you first bought it? -- meaning did it ever sport 3.55 FW at anytime?
2. What firmware did it have when you sent it to this guy?

lol thats what i was thining, call them and say "ya i sent my ps3 to a guy who appearantly said he was gonna " downgrade" for me so i can jailbreak it, and pirate games! please arrest him!" lol you might have to handle this yourself..

lol what i was trying to say is that it doesnt look trustworthy, didnt say it was a success though ;)

ive downgraded a few that just wanted new logic board remarried so the could play MW2 again on PSN, so that is def another way to word it...
