Hello,
Can I attempt this downgrade if my console come with factory stock firmware 3.65?
There is not such thing in this tutorial (in the first post). I have read some other tutorials from ps3-hacks and there is nothing mention for that. I only read for this in this tutorial "UPDATE FIVE: 3.70 Downgrade for All NOR Models - Teensy++ OR ProgSkeet -" on psx-scene. I don't have 30 post and I can't give link.
Why it isn't mention any where else. Can some one tell for absolutely shore that i cant downgrade consoles that come with 3.56+. I can't find the answer.
Another qustion : after I downgrade can I take the flash chip off or it need to stay there?

I have now JSD-001 with Samsung Nor(128x128 one).I made several dumps but only PRG0 is 3.55 rest unknown.PS3 now 3.56.I hate samsung nor. I have progskeet too but when dumping it freezes.I think wiring maybe problem. Can you suggest me wire type.I'm currentlu using PATA 80pin cable.I looked ps3wiki then it maybe AWG30 cable.Wiki suggests AWG24.Is this effect.I checked wires ten dozen times. But no luck.
Judges can you send me beta samsung norway?I couldnt reach you from ps3hax.net.Many thanks...
kynar wire 30awg is perfect.

If i have a bricked console (ps3Phat40gb nor - CECHH00) on 3.56, showing ylod is it still possible to use Norway to dump the nor, and if so do i need more power than the 3v regulated to do?
because i know if i dump it, inject prepatched coreOS in ROS0 and ROS1 and using the original unformatted harddrive will be able to restore the console.
So is it possible? as the ylod was dude to trying to install 3.56 on another hdd, even though i had the original.
Kada, you got PM on ps3hax...
I don't know whether you can fix the ylod, but you certainly can use NORway to try. Although it's unverified to work on a DIA-001. At least you'll need the latest beta. Can't send PM here, please contact me by email or on ps3hax. Standard 3V power regulator should work fine.
NOR flashed my stock back and all is well. I must have missed something when the repair CORE_OS, so I will wait for the detailed tutorial. While writing feature requires a fairly long period, it works as it should and I am glad it is open source.
