Not even through a normal update or recovery mode?
I stand corrected. You can go back to 3.6x, just flash your way back. Somehow I missed to try. Just doesn't work from xmb/recovery mode.

    Hey judges,

Will an otheros++ NOR dump work?

    Thanks!

Never actually tried otheros++, but if you use a patched core os, I wouldn't know why not. But don't just use a dump from another console, this doesn't work in general.

many thanks to judges for his awesome work.

i`ve successfully dumped the nor and also released the nor after dumping.

but my console wont boot anymore.
the led is green and 5 seconds later it will automatically shutdown.

the dump is looking good and file comparison between different dumps is also fine.

do we have to desolder the teensy after dumping ?

    i missed something ?

the power comes straight from usb using the 3.3v regulator.
    i haven`t soldered any vcc.

when i power on the ps3 with usb cable connected the console is running (green light) but no video output.
without usb cable connected the console shuts down immediately.
i`m pretty sure the nor isn`t fried because the dumps are looking good,
but something is blocking the nor to boot.
maybe it`s not really released or something like this.

my board is a jsd-001 and i used the diagram from norway hwinstall folder.

however in this picture it looks like judges has soldered vcc.
but i dont think this is related to my problem.
because dumping works like a charm.

someone an idea what maybe causing this boot problem ?

Maybe the tristate pin on ps3 is still being grounded by the teensy, try disconnecting it from the tristate pin and then booting the ps3.
The tristate pin is labeled in the wiring pinouts
