Need a little help with e3

ok so i updated my cfw to 4.31 ofw to test out a theory, knowing i have an e3 flasher this isnt a problem as i can easily downgrade back but upon installing my flasher and turning the system on my bluray ribbon burned out. (Yup you heard right cable almost caught fire, couldnt believe it myself) my question is can i still use my flasher to flash cfw back without the bluray ribbon attached? my bluray is from a 320GB CHEC-2503A has 3 ribbons in top right corner and one on the bottom connected directly to the laser (this is the one that burned up)

Damn dude. That sucks. I'd try out ebay. I know from being a PS3 repair guy. You are just like me lol.. I got 4 PHATS on CFW and a 360 Jasper that I flashed a 320 gig western digital HD for. It's awesome stuff a USBPRO v2 can do.

yeah you can downgrade back to 3.55 rogero v3.7. you dont need a bluray, as the downgrade pup is bd bypass.
