hi im downgrading my ps3 and i installed it correctly i think because when i turn my ps3 on the tf cover board lights the 7 green lights and 1 red light but then it says cannot find appropriate storage so my ps3 cannot start so im pretty sure the problem lies within my hdd or esata station i recently backed my ps3 hdd to an external usb so that might ve the problem i think can someone help me with a soluion please thanks you.

I ran the flat cable under the hdd cage so I could keep my hdd in place the only downside is you can't keep the e3 hooked up when you put your ps3 back together.

Like this you don't have to connect the part of the e3 that goes into the hdd bay "that's to use the esata for your hdd" you put your hdd in like normal. Get some cardboard, tape and a game case or two to support everything and you'll be fine just use your head and don't let anything short out.

I used a usb hdd connector to hold the back of the e3 up and the wire is from the SBE to the Nor Tristate had a brick.

so im confused, where exactly did you place the e3 hdd replacement and why and how did you support it? in the pic theres no disc part, do you need that to boot the ps3 and can you run the ps3 with it open like that? so the way you did it theres no need for esata station? sorry for so many questions but thank you very much
