Is Multiman NOR Dump Safe for downgrade?

I have a PS3Slim with Kmeaw CFW 3.55 (fabric OFW 3.42-> OFW 3.55-> CFW 3.55 - no downgrade).

Unfortunately my other PS3, a 80GB Metal Gear Bundle go to hell (YLOD)

Then I need to update my 3.55 CFW Slim to 4.30 OFW to play PSN games with my friends for a time, until I purchase another one US$$$$less.

My question(s) is: I made a NOR Dump using Multiman. It's safe to re-jailbreak with hardware flasher with Multiman's dump?

What the best method to update to OFW 4.31 and made it safe and clean? Format hard drive then install OFW 4.31 with UBS Stick in XMB? Or use another hardisk (I have one 80GB), install it and when PS3 ask for firmware put a USB Stick with 4.30 firmware? Do I need QA flag or is only for donwgrade firmware?

What I will need to flash my CFW 3.55 dump to re-jailbreak my PS3 again? An E3 Flasher only or Flasher + Dongle?

What a lot of people lost his jailbreak although Multiman can easily dump your NOR ?

You need a flasher + Dongle to jailbreak your ps3 again.
And yes multiman nor dumps are safe to use.
