Just a curious question
I've got into the whole e3 flashing thing and love it. I was just curious. I understand that some 25XX models and above can't be flashed. I know they say its because the firmware release was past 3.55. Still I wonder though. Has anyone tried it? If so what happened? Coming from a computer background with the basis of flashing bios and DVD rom drives, in tech aspect a flash usually wipes the chip replacing it with what you flash it too. Would this not be the same with the NOR? I'm just sayin, tech wise if you flash the NOR (erasing it) it shouldn't matter what you put back on it. Less sony did something different that I'm not catching. Any thoughts?
25XX along with the 3K and 4K PS3 models have a new level of encryption included into their bios which means that programs are not able to decrypt these dumps
Thus making CFW impossible since no one has cracked this new form of new encryption yet
