How to downgrade from OFW 4.11 to 3.55

Hello guys i need your help i just need to know this i have a original 60gb Phat Ps3 i need to know what i need to buy (dongel wise dont say new ps3 lol) or if i can be done with software to dowgrade 4.11 to 3.55

i think you can use progskeet or what ever it is to downgrade it but im not sure up to what fw it works.

You're gonna need an E3 Flasher kid, and mess with your PS3 internals.

As stated before, you will need to get a progskeet, e3 or some other flasher. You will need to install this by opening it up. You have the NAND chip inside so make sure you get the right one. You will also need something to put the ps3 in service mode once you have flashed the chip with the downgrade file. You can buy one or use something that you have around. iPhone and ti 84 plus calculator works. Also thing like black cat USB or some other smart phones. Since it is a NAND chip the progskeet will be more money, since you have to buy the progskeet and if you want to solderless, you have to get the solderless clip, and a flasher for the progskeet. Where the e3 comes with all you need. But the solderless clips are a pain to get right. If you have any more questions just ask.

I'm in the same predicament. I'm also totally new to this but fully vested. Once you have the E3 flasher connected how do I know which switch's to flip up and down? Also, will a dongle be required to play back-ups? Is there a beginners guide somewhere for this? My ps3 is a 40GB 3.65 ofw with nor. I also have a 3.7 with no blu ray drive, is it possible to jailbreak a ps3 with no blu ray drive?
