About LinkBacksHi their my PS3 right now i running Firmware version 3.72 and i want to jailbreak by the safety way like not gonna brink my console . Does some one know how to jailbreak or downgrade if yes please show me how to do it or do i need buy some usb dongle ?? If i jailbreak my ps3 can i play back my bluray disc ? Because sometimes the Blueray ( BD ) onsale and i will buy it. Please answer me this question and thanks !

12-01-2011,10:08 PMlook into progskeet. It'll require some soldering and I don't know if it will work with 3.72 or not. You'll be better off trading in you console for one on 3.55 firmware or lower. It will be less of a pain in the ass in the long run. If you do get on CFW, your blu-ray drive will still work for movies and games, but games that requre 3.60 keys and above will not work. It's pretty much anything newer than Portal 2. About half of them have been patched or cracked in some way and it's only a matter of time before all the new games will work. Hope that helped

12-01-2011,11:58 PMFurther to the comment above, you can only downgrade if at some point your console was at FW 3.55 or lower. If it was at any FW higher 'out of the box' then you're stuck on what currently is a non jail breakable FW (i.e. anything on or over 3.56FW).

12-02-2011,12:32 AMhe is absolutely correct about it not being possible if your ps3 came with 3.56 or higher out of the box. Personally I think it will be more headache than it's worth unless your comfortable soldering electronics. I stand by what I said about trying to trade your console for a 3.55 or lower system. Try GameStop or your local pawn shops. Most pawn shops will do a trade if you throw them 10 or 20 bucks to do the paperwork
