Which E3 Flasher downgrade Method is Best?

Okay Guys, I have done alot of research in the past 2 months, and only a couple last questions before I really think I am going to try and jailbreak a ps3 with 4.21 OFW. One thing I wanted to know, is because I later came up on 2 different tutorials

1.-Khalkedon's Tutorial
2.-Nor Patcher Tutorial

I got a couple of questions on these two tutorials and some jailbreaking stuff in general. Any person who can help out or vote for which tutorial works best and why, if you've tried it, or by theory.

1. Does the Nor Patcher Tutorial work, I've only seen this on ps3hax, but i've seen khalkedon's done by others on youtube
2. In the Nor Patcher tutorial, they say that if your ps3 gets bricked you can easily undo it, is this true?
3. Is it easy to brick a ps3 when doing khalkedon's method, I've herd a bunch of people who got bricked but not what they did wrong?
4. On a wii hacking site discussing ps3, a reply was given about e3, that the e3 card reader worked good on the fat ps3 downgrade because it needed to
to go into factory service mode, and that the E3 card reader was bad for slims because it needs to shutdown during the process. Can anyone tell me if this is true, that E3 card reader won't work/ Is bad for Slim Ps3s, and if You can still use E3 card reader but shutdown your ps3 during the process and When?

EDIT: Actually, never mind, I found out that using the Nor Patcher tutorial, you can use your e3 flasher many times, and if something does happen (F*** **) a step, then unbricking is very easy. People should seriously use this tutorial, and I can help out anyone now who wants to, just make sure you make a proper backup (at least 3) and your safe
