Downgrading from 4.21 Rogero to 3.55 Rogero, then to Kmeaw... hit a snag.
Hey all,
Apologies for all the questions, this may just be the first "real" issue, however.
I'm following the guide from Tortuga Cove entitled "Rogero CEX-4. 30 v1. 03 / multiMAN ver 04. 10. 00 / Showtime 04. 01. 208" (I can't post links yet), which basically says that if you're on Rogero 4. 21 CFW, update your PS3 with this hybrid 3. 55/4. 21 firmware, which still shows up as 4. 21 in System Settings. I'm on that firmware now.
Then it says to activate the Qa mode, which I did successfully, and I can verify via the Network Settings controller button combo.
The final step before it clears me for installing 3. 55 OFW or Kmeaw 3. 55 CFW is to flash yet another update. pup, the 3. 55 version of Rogero CFW. Unfortunately, after update data is copied over to the PS3, it gives me the "latest version of the system software is already installed. There is no need to update" error and I am forced to abort.
So can anyone recommend on how to proceed? Can I safely flash Kmeaw 3. 55, remember I'm on Rogero's hybrid 4. 21/3. 55 FW which shows up as 4. 21 in System Settings....
Again, I just want to be safe, I read of someone bricking by flashing 3. 55 OFW from some 4. xx CFW or something like that, anyway it has me paranoid.
Thank you in advance!
