What's the state of the console now, are you still on 3.55
please post complete model number of ps3, the format of the usb drive and to be honest the reason of downgrade, as there is no advantage of 3.41 over 3.55
run the mini version check pup and tell us what it says.
it sounds like you have a slim that came with 3.50 and cant be downgraded.
well, to be honest, i have a ps3 right now that wont turn itself off after FSM downgrade..... if you have by chance used the wrong 3.41 modifed (3.56) then you successfully gave your console 3.56 hash checks, lol. but fret not, you can install the rogero 3.55 v2 CFW for downgraded consoles, just check ps3devwiki for it, then double FSM 3.55 OFW and you will reset the hash for 3.55. i did install the wrong one accidentally and i thought i bricked a console. all you have to do is install rogero v2 and then double FSM (reFSM) which means install 3.55 OFW twice through FSM, and you should be good to go. do not exit service mode until youve installed 3.55 OFW twice..... use the rogero 3.55 v2 firmware first in FSM and then install 3.55 OFW twice in FSM, then exit FSM. on a side note, the console will not turn itself off after FSM downgrade, but after i manually turn it off and then back on, i found that everything is working properly and it indeed downgraded, so always turn the console on after a downgrade to be sure it worked.
and the reason most people downgrade is because they have to remarry a bd drive, which can be done from 3.50 according to the wiki. no reason to go to 3.41 or lower if it works on 3.50 that is.
and before anybody says "QA flag will do it" you cant QA flag a console with a broken bluray logic board, because you can install pkg's but you cannot run them. and to QA flag a console, you have to RUN qa flag extra.pkg. someone needs to make a lv2diag that will QA flag a console. that would be a great tool
You do not need to run anything to q/a flag as there is a firmware that will auto q/a flag you just have to look for it. Bd-rom remarry is not going to work on ps3's that can't downgrade but luckily if you (original poster) have a slim that can't go past 3.50 (verify with mini ps3 version check pup) just go to 3.50 by installing auto q/a flagged 3.55 then downgrading from system recovery menu.
The best part of q/a flagging is you don't need to use the special 3.41/3.56 downgrade pup and you can go to any firmware your model ps3 can handle (my cecha01 has been to 1.10 just for fun and man does it look retro)
