CECHA01 downgrade with android or TI-84?

now that psn is back up i went to mess with my console and my son just barely upgraded to 4.11 from rebug 3.55. needless to say im pissed since he knows not to mess with the thing and ive told him numerous times not to update anything. he already ****ed up his wii and now he ****ed up MY ps3. i even installed the spoofer and disabled updates. anyway, i want to downgrade so i can use psn before sony closes that hole again. i have an original CECHA01. ive read that it is possible on some models to downgrade with a supported android phone or TI-84 (which i have both) instead of an e3 or progskeet. its hard sorting the old information from the new and the bad information from the good. is it possible to downgrade my console without buying a progskeet or e3? can i use psfservicemod with 4.11 on CECHA01? or if taking it apart is the only way, does someone offer this service for cheaper than i me buying the hardware and doing it myself?

no u can not...after 3.55 they disabled\changed the service mode so we can't downgrade...also if you go into factory service mode you won't be able to get out of it since sony blocked our lv2diag.self from exiting it....e3 doesn;t support nand and wont work...prodskeet is ur only option and that involves alot of soldering...what do u mean by barely updated????

ok, that clarifies things a lot. by "barely updated" i really mean just recently. i never thought id have to worry about him updating after ive told him so many times and the one time where it really matters is when he doesnt listen. and i missed stopping him by just a few hours. im just so pissed because ive drilled it into his head to never update it. only i will do it if i deem it necessarily, like some games need to update themselves and not the system. ive told him time and again that if a game asks to update to wait for me to do it and i guess he decided hes seen me do it so its ok. needless to say he is banned from touching my things for life. he is old enough to know better.

yeah that really sucks...i'd be pissed myself too...expecially sense i have 3...one cfw for me, one for the little one on cfw (so i don't have to give her my disks...she is 10 and hasn't learned how to take care of them so i refuse to give her my ps3 disks)...and one on ofw for online...i'd be pissed if someone updates one of the cfw ones.....truthfully though if it's an option you would probably be better off buyin one off of ebay and just keeping that one on ofw...if i'm, not mistaken (and i may be wrong) a prodskeet is like $50...i bought my cecha01 off ebay for a little over $90 ...

thanks, i'll look into that as well. i actually have a bunch of old ps3s for parts that i never did anything with. maybe i can find someone who would trade.

Yea as you have a NAND system and all the downgrade hardware made recently is for NOR flash only. So your only chance is to find a Infectus but they are few and far between as I have been after one for a while now.

really so prodskeet are only for nor also...man i really need to do my homework on that then...i'll have to read more on that

no progskeet is for NAND and NOR ... why someone would use a progskeet on an NOR is unkown to me but.. if you want to downgrade your NAND console then Progskeet it is. if you have no idea of soldering you can get the progskeet with the solderless clips *still requires abit of soldering* but not on the ps3 only the clips... but if you do know how to go ahead and just go with the progskeet and look for some guides online

thanks for all the help. that helped me sort things out. i usually prefer to do these things myself but its too expensive to buy the equpitment. i found a local guy that will do it cheap. i want to ask him a few more questions though to make sure he knows what he is doing.
