thanks i tried the solderless method but i couldnt get the damn thing to stick and stay i place properly so i got the iron out and crudely soldered a wire onto the nor point on the board.
for the life of me i couldnt get the wire soldered to the contact on the e3 flasher ribbon so what i did was ground the wire on the grounding screw on the ps3 chasis where the earth cable is screwed and it worked like a charm after a bit of tinkering
so finally back onto 3.55 and in the process of installing ofw 3.55 qa style
just a quick note the foolproof guide that is stickied is brilliant but there is one problem with it on the de-hashing part where it says in big red letters
DO THIS WAY AT YOUR OWN RISK AS I GET RLOD EVERYTIME I TRY IT - is confusing because you do not know which one is which that is how i ended up trying the fsm way only to find out it wasnt the best way and ultimately semi bricked my console
