Another 3.72 question

Okay... So i've been wondering around the forums for awhile now(By the way i think the search tool is broken) And i'm wanting to know how to downgrade a 3.72 OFW to w/e it needs to be.. From what i read so far it seems impossible.. But if anyone can link me things that make this possible I'd be appreciated...

I read in an earlier post its possible by doing hardware modifications.. Is there any guides on that? Or just plain information would help.. Thanks a lot!

I'm not sure it works with 3.72 but read around a bit about progskeet and TEENSY and you should find it.

Thanks for your reply.. Few questions come to mind though..

I heard you can use like.. Ipods and stuff to get your ps3 into service factory mode.. I also read somewhere about being able to use a psp.. which is what i have :P

There any guides on how to do this? I'm kinda at a loss :P

You can't use factory service mode to downgrade if you're on 3.56 or later. In fact, if you put it in FSM if it's on that range of firmwares, it will get stuck on it and no way to recover it without downgrading.
As for downgrading, it's done with a flasher (currently requires soldering, although solderless kits are supposed to come out soon), you directly rewrite your PS3's flash, there are tuts on how to do this in the net, too lazy to look for them though.
