I installed and ran the Rogero PS3 Buttons Layout Changer program because I also have a JAP PS3. The installation was successful and I restarted my PS3 system but the buttons' functions are still NOT interchanged. I tried running the program once more and it says I already have the USA/EUR layout set. What am I missing here?
Thanks.
Hello,
after you choose which button layout you want, the PS3 must be fully restarted (Turn OFF/Turn ON) or the changes won't be applied.
and in case you're restarting the PS3 and still no change:
first thing I need to know is what FW version you are currently using: 3.41 or 3.55, and if possible i'll need a copy of the file :
/dev_flash2/etc/xRegistry.sys
from your PS3 to check it.
I have tested the utility on few PS3's, maybe there's something I missed.
Sorry for the late reply. I'm on 3.55 KMEAMW. I fully restarted the PS3 after changing the buttons layout. I've attached the needed fileI've uploaded it in RAR format since it won't allow me to upload a .sys file.

- Added support for fewer PS3 models that didn't work with version 1.0
- added the Geohot/Wutangrza compatible package as requested by some users.
Rogero PS3 Buttons Layout Changer v1.1
Cheers,
Rogero

Although I don't need it, it's a godsend for some people. Very considerate of you to cater for the smaller group.
