Rogero Manager v8.5 Solar Edition

Love the new features to save the various option per game like the select +x and direct boot.

I am assuming that these options are saved to a file withing the rogero folder?

What is the name of the file?

Will it be over written with each update?

If it will be over written, I am assuming we can back up the file and re-transfer it over?

you don't have to worry about the game options file being deleted or replaced when you update the manager, because for each game, the settings file is stored in the Game's folder itself and not in the manager's folder

Hey,

First of all I want to apologise in advance if the following questions have been asked before - but I have been away for a little while and am very lost in where things are up to at the moment. I have read through as many of the recent posts as possible but can't find definitive answers.

1. I am currently on 3.41 using hermesv4b - but I want to go dongeless - which cfw and payload should I use for the same level of success with running backups?

2. All my games are stored internally in the GAMEZ folder, by udating the ps3 firmware and Rogero to 8.1 will I be able to continue using this same folder without any loss of data?

seems my PICBG.PNG is corrupted even within the PKG file. So I redownloaded and its fine. Guess thats the penalty of not having them in zip format, you never can tell if the package is corrupt via download.

I didn't move the contents when prompted to do so on initial startup of 8.1.

when you're on CFW 3.55 you only have 2 payloads available, PL3 & Syscall36 and both works very similar to each others.

And Is there a list or games for the black screen games?

You can use this great compatibility List created for multiMAN, the games info in the list apply as well to Rogero Manager.

you can use [USB_Mount] for non "Black Screen" games too as long as the game don't have >4gb files so it can launched from external.

if you didn't allow v8.1 to move the folder for you and you delete the v7.8 now, it will delete the Games folder too.

what you can do is, reinstall the v8.1 package another time, and start it again so it will prompt you on first run about the folder that must be moved, this time select "Yes". After you've done this , you can delete v7.8 safely.

Thanks for the info and link. I would say your manager is the hassle free and easy to use manager. That's why I often use this manager, I just download others to check compatibility and issues

version 8.1 have many checks at startup, and with Waninkoko's CFW it won't load any built-in payload because the CFW already have one, internal payload will only be used if no other payload was detected.
Also I recommend Kmeaw over waninkoko CFW, no freezing at all and so stable, and when used with Kmeaw the manager gives you the option to use PL3 or Syscall36 ( you can go with the one you find more compatible with your games)

Thanks for the advice... might switch over. Can you "set" the payload type per game?. I suspect not and that its loaded when the BM is loaded rather than when the game is loaded.
