I did many change on my home and paint the wall and changed many furniture that's why i Was away but now i'am back with a new tv and my freshly unsealed ps3
To answer your different question :
The two ps3 were on 3.41 when i tested the game and yeah it displayed hermes payload /0.00
It probably detect a payload (or else i couldn't launch the manager) but it was a false status payload and like you said it wasn't detected right....
I tried many times like i said when the game has been corrupted i couldn't find a way to make it work again. i tried many of your manager patch mode too... and many others to figure out why the games couldn't be launched and nothing keep having the damn error. So i tried another ps3 thinking it was the ps3 who was corrupted then i tried all the payload and at last redo the backup (i could've tried this first...)All you had to do was to turn the program/PS3 off then On to make it detect it right like 3.41, then you would have it patch the PaRAM.SFO correctly, you had a problem that lead to another problem :>
but when it detected the 0.00 version the SFO i wasn"'t prompt to modify the version anymore probably because it detected an earlier version firmware needed for this game. your manager probably check if the firmware needed is > and not < .
I didn't even tried the FTP server function on any of your manager since i didn't need it at the time but i remember testing different manager before yours and deleted them after the test and finally take my time on your to see all the new featureAlso one thing, have you used the FTP server before trying to run the game ?? the FTP function messes a lot with the PS3 system, that's why i had it removed initially and now it's back upon users request and system in-stability problems are back too
Thank you for considering this i was expecting a reply but for the next version it's so greatAnyway, about the PARAM.SFO file change, i will make it much more secure, with more output messages about the new version to be changed before it does, and let the user accept or refuse it, and maybe with a PARAM.SFO backup/restore function too.
I think that could prevent many prob to happen now and in the future. keeping a backup file is always a solution but need to be carefull not to overwrite it (normally that couldn't happen and if it happen maybe add some info to the extension PARAM.SFO.3-42.BAK or something like that to prevent it )
Altering data on a backup or on the ps3 is always to be prevented that's why the jailbreak solution is great since it changed only the value on some offset on the ram and not on the system itself. Keeping in mind that everything could change in the future and could be needed (i think about some game who actually work now by modifying the param sfo to an earlier firmware version) we could think that maybe in the future games will need newest instruction to be able to play them. instruction available only on newer firmware and maybe we will have to patch our firmware to play them but if we patch them for example to play 3.50 games and we have altered our param.sfo to 3.41 or earlier and couldn't revert back then the instruction process couldn't be triggered and the game will not work because it wasn't detected as a game who require those new instruction to play.
Remember that i'am french and sometimes my english is not understandable
Anyway thank you sir for your great great work i'll keep following your work and like i said all the other one are not as stable as yours and trust me on this i'am not a hard gamer i'am just curious on how things works and i keep testing everything i can
Gonna test your 7.4 now
