Black Screen –
I really liked version 7.2 but version 7.3 and version 7.3.1 do not work at all for me. After going through the setup screens it locks up on the last one and on subsequent loads it goes to a black screen and locks. I picked YES for all answers and am using payload PL3-MOH. Deleting and reinstalling the PKG did not fix it. Any ideas?
Have you tried the latest 7.4.1 version, and are you on fw 3.41 ? that's weird !

7.3 is perfect though.
I'll post for you a version to test with some startup parameters changed,Boot sound disabled, and a default settings file just to test it, just give me some minutes...

I'm not home at the moment, won't be till later tonight. So hopefully someone else can help you in the meantime, otherwise I'll help later
Sorry I mixed up between you and SubSonix1, you can also try the version i attached 2 posts above, anyway I'll be testing this further with the PL3 payload, i usually use Hermes v4b, maybe some FTP or Sound thread problems with other payloads, i will be fixed for sure

the FTP server needs lot of tweaking too, sometimes it have strange problems and will mess some folders permissions, maybe i'll include a permissions auto-fix function too...

Rogero First i want to thank you for all those version too bad i couldn't follow each one of them with you cause i was busy this week and didn't even connect one time to internet.
Yesterday i tried to play a little ssf4 and here what happen using your version 7.3
I have two ps3
i have all payload
i use hermes v4b
i use a phone or a ps3key to jailbreak
So yesterday i launched ssf4 and your manager didn't detected that i used hermes v4b payload but a v.0 payload and it prompt me to change the setting of the game who is a 3.15 firmware game to 0.00. of course i selected no
when i tried to launch super street fighter 4 i kept getting the error 80028f14 (which is the one when your bdrive is dead...) at the time i didn't know what was the problem i just tried all payload i have thinking that maybe it was from the jailbreak solution after many try i realized that maybe i got a corruption on the ps3 system. So i decided to unseal my ps3 who never be unsealed since i bought it in 2007 and update her to 3.41 and try the game and of course i got the same problem.
So i decided to do the backup again and see if it comes from that... i kept looking on google about the error above and nothing seems to be related to super street fighter (there is only the controller patch but it's not needed anymore since hermes v3) After the backup was completed i tried it with the new ps3 and the game works. So i decided to do a crc/hash check between the 2 dump to see what is the problem...
the hash was the same not even a byte change on eboot and sfb and the height of the game was really the same.
I looked and found the problem. It comes from the SFO who was altered by the manager probably because it detected this payload 0.00 who is impossible to have and forced change on the value of the SFO for this game.
The game corruption is easilly fixed when we know the problem and you have a good editor but for some newbie guys it could be a problem.
So i reported the problem here to you to see if you could find a solution.
The payload detection is a great option but it mess with the backup on some games and it happened to me... that happened probably when the ps3 lose track/data about the hack status... maybe because of some games or anything affecting her. so when you boot the game you got this error and the error is not fixed by rebooting your ps3 on jailbreak mode.
I think there is two option who could be added to prevent this :
Lowered the firmware on the SFO can be changed only to some acceptable value e.g: 3.15 and nothing like 0.00 or 1.00
or modyfing the sfo but keeping a backup sfo eg: PARAM.SFO.BAK
or modyfing the sfo to the most acceptable value compatible with all firmware
and please verify the validation of the version changed since it changed the value when i said NO ... or put a little explanation/confirmation on screen when changing the value or a confirmation message like "your param.sfo for this game has or hasn't been changed to x.xx"
please consider this and thanks for your reading.

I guess that what was, because it will always detect the correct payload, that was tested heavily, but the new System Version detect function seems to be affected by some system/flash changes and that 0.00 you have seen was because System FW version couldn't be detected right.
All you had to do was to turn the program/PS3 off then On to make it detect it right like 3.41, then you would have it patch the PaRAM.SFO correctly, you had a problem that lead to another problem :>
Also one thing, have you used the FTP server before trying to run the game ?? the FTP function messes a lot with the PS3 system, that's why i had it removed initially and now it's back upon users request and system in-stability problems are back too
Anyway, about the PARAM.SFO file change, i will make it much more secure, with more output messages about the new version to be changed before it does, and let the user accept or refuse it, and maybe with a PARAM.SFO backup/restore function too.
Thanks man for reporting this, this is so important to fix.
