Are FragFX and XFPS the only way to use a keyboard/mouse combination to play FPS on PS3?

P.S. I really dont want to hear statements like "if you dont like the controller go back to your PC" and other stuff like that that keep appearing on such posts. I dont play multiplayer and would only like to use this for Killzone cause i'm not having fun using the controller for this game.

I also have a similar accesory that got for PS2 and never used it, and saw a video where you can use it for PS3 if you get a PS2 controller adapter. I got a generic usb2ps2 i got for PC and i dunno whrther it could work for PS3. I guess i should have to dig up and find these components so i could test if this method works...

There was an app which could read the bluetooth hardware address of a ps3-pad and fake/change your bluetooth address of your PC to the one of the pad.
So the ps3 thinks your pc is a gamepad.
but it is not that easy to set those settings that perfekt to get a real PC-FPS-feeling, u have to test much.
sometimes too fast, sometimes too slow but if u put some effort in it its probably worth a try.

    Cheers

The FragFX and the XFPS are terrible for using mice and keyboard on the PS3. The best adapter out is the XIM3. I got one for Uncharted and its awesome... I beat Uncharted 1 and 2 with my Logitech MX518. It isn't 100% PC like but I can do twitch head shots with the sniper rifle.
What can change the nature of a man?

Have you tried all of the above? What makes XIM3 the best?

I think he means the game input multiplexer.

It works with Linux and Windows, but there are different methods. Just read through the website
