I have recently moved back to KMEAW from TB and wanted to patch some games I have backed up.
I did not have too much problem with other games but when I patched Tales of graces f, it gave me an error about installed data being corrupt.
So I went and erased the installed data and moved the save file from my ps3 but still the same error.
I even erased the backed up game and re-backed up but still the same error.
To my knowledge, there are no installed data in my ps3 anymore.
why is this happening? from a thread I read, they said my HDD might be about to break but I had no problem installing other games' data into my HDD.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

delete your old installed game data, restore original files, and apply patch from there

is there anywhere else then hdd0/game folder where game data might be installed?
I already erased it in the folder but same error still haunts me....
can there be a hidden file which i do not see? or temp files affecting it?

you should never delete from hdd0/game unless you're doing something very specific - you should delete from the game data manager in the XMB. There's an index file that stores info on everything installed. You either need to reindex the database from the recovery menu or you applied the patch wrong. Before reindexing check the version in the PARAM.SFO for your backup. TB set it as 50.00 or 99.99. If you didn't hit refresh in multiMAN after adding a corrected PARAM.SFO you'll get error messages
