Can someone tell me if this game requires anything special in order to play it cfw 3..55? I already put it into the external using split files and then transferred it to internal but it doesn't work.

Aside from having a 4GB+ file, it should play fine without any mods.
Maybe you've got a bad dump?
Also, I had a lot of trouble using split files so now I have an external HDD formatted to NTFS and use that to transfer to internal with MM's NTFS feature.
If you're thinking about trying this be aware that the hardest thing about it is getting the vendor number etc for the HDD you're going to use but once you've done that and you've placed the file with the required info in MM's USDIR, it works flawlessly every time.
R.D.R. doesnt run on an external HDD, if you transfer it to your internal you will have no probs with it
He said he transferred it to internal and it didn't work.. My suggestion related to how he transferred it else its a bad dump.
Yes, I think it's a bad dump.
Always check these sources:

I hate problem with Red Dead Redemption too. I fix permissions and when I try to load it with inserted original game ir still requires to upgrade the FW. I use Kmeaw 3.55 and MultiMAN 4.
