Patching problems –
I have read a number of posts and have not seen an actual solution to the issue. I am using KMEAW 3.55, and have issues with about 50% of the N0DRM patches. Upon applying the 1.0X game patches, and then applying the N0DRM patch, the game will not run, requiring 3.7x+ firmware to be applied. Is there something else that I need to do to be able to update to more recent game release level?
If the original game files were patched to get 1.00 to run, i always go back to the original image first.
I had the same issue with Elder Scrolls, and someone released an update package to the N0DRM patches, and it ended up fixing the issue. I sincerely appreciate any help on this, and apologize if this has been covered and I missed it.
Thanks in advance.
are you installing them in the GAME folder or the game folder(devhdd0/game__this is where the game data goes_) devhdd0/GAMES____is the actual game directory)
in the file there is a ms system info open with notepad and usually if its a update, there will be a url. install the url then apply patch...
so when you see for example twisted metal 1.01 1.02 1.03 ect ect, you would put them in the /game folder since they are updates..
heres my guide for twisted metal, I should mention I am using the SEN 4.25 spoof tool as well.
basically once you start out you will not have a folder in /dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98106
basically the first patch 1.00 is the eboot for the actual game disc... so you install that overtop of whereever your ripped copy of the game is (games/gamez)
make sure you use PsnEula.ppu.sprx it goes in "PS3_GAME/USRDIR/prx"
then you put 1.01 pkg on a usb stick/drive
run it... then you will get a folder in in /dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98106
but the game wont open...
you must patch those files overtop in in /dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98106 by FTP, then open the game... it will do its thing and take you to the main menu at that point you want to exit of the game and repeat with the next patch (1.02/etc)
you will have to run the pkg, then patch the files in in /dev_hdd0/game/BCUS98106 then boot up the game and exit everytime
this must be done for all the patches (up to 1.06) if you want to get on psn.
I did not find a 1.03 patch anywhere hosted, I suspect it is not needed at all because I did not use it and everything is working for me.
i had this same problem and SEN 4.25 spoof tool fixed it for me...i would try installing this
