Mortal Kombat 9 quit to XMB
Mortal Kombat 9 quit to XMB –
I'm running latest rebug FW on 3.55 ps3 slim with multi man 4.02
I'm having problems getting mortal combat 9 to work, i have eu version BLES 01132, I've read around internet and this site all pointing to changing the eboot file and updating to ver 1.01
so i try to install the update via pkg manager but it keeps failing at 14% I've tried reinstalling the game and still no joy
please can someone here help me, I've followed links to boot files but all lead to the same site which has been taken down, but now i read that i don't need the boot as its euro version and just the 1.01 update but i can't install it, i keep getting error 80029564
This is for the US version - sorry I don't have the EURO one. It will work on yours if you change the game ID in your disc backup's PARAM.SFO to match the id in the file names. Delete all installed data for mortal kombat in your game data menu and install the pkg files in this archive in any order
many thanks i will try now and report back
i tried to install but agin the pkg failed at 14%.
tried to install from internal drive but it failed again at 14% not sure where to go now
well i opened the .sfo to see what ws going on, it seems my version on the disc is 1.02 but FW says 3.55. however the disc asks me to update system fw to 3.56 to play the game so im presuming the disc is using 3.56 keys?
hence why the update i tried to install kept failing at 14%
does anyone have a working link to scorpions 1.03 which works on fw 3.55
It doesn't matter what version the disc is using. installling the update will force the game to load from dev_hdd0/game/GAMEFOLDER instead of your bluray disc backup. I started with the EURO version too. I changed the SFO to match the US game id listed in the filenames of what I linked you to, deleted the update folder from the disc backup and let multiman change the SFO to 3.55. After installing those PKG files the game worked. Those are the fix files from my personal copy so I know that they work. Make sure you're deleting any old game data before installing the pkg files and check that you have enough free space on your drive. I've got the game running from internal drive and if you follow the instructions or don't have another problem somewhere else, then it will work. Getting kicked out of pkg installation at 14% makes me think it can't overwrite something or you don't have enough free space

Give it a few minutes then try again or disable your download managers. I've given that file to a couple other people having problems with this game. multiMAN will ask you to change the version in the SFO if it's higher than 3.55 when you load a game. just make sure you delete the PS3_UPDATE folder from the backup so you don't accidentally update your system
