LA Noire help please

I have tried and retried to get this game to work, I am obviously doing some thing wrong but I really need some help to get this one working please. I should state I have actually bought this game and all I want to do it play it on 3.55. I am running Open Manager as I like its simplicity, I can copy to Internal and I have the patch. So what I am doing is copying to internal, once copied I apply the patch 3.55 and then select the game from OM and launch the game...Black screen. So I try again, deleting the old game data, recopying, applying the other patch, running with a game in the drive and without, please what I am I doing incorrectly? Is it the game has problems with Open Manager? All my other games work from backup and downloads, I tried the euro download of LA Noire and same problem. I have tried with Multimanager but it also seemed to just black screen and its the first game I have tried on MM and it all seemed quite complicated especially in light of this game being difficult to get working. Am running Hermes and PSBREAK dongle. Help please.

LA Noire is a funny game. It has a 4GB+ file so it has to be played from internal, but you have to do the data install from external drive. I don't use open manager so I don't know how it functions so I'll give you instructions in multiman

1) Copy game to external drive - the large file will be split automatically
2) boot the game from external and wait for the data install to finish - don't start the game
3) quit the game and load up the copy that's still on your internal drive
4) no more black screen

you might have to enable blu-ray redirection for your external copy for it to work right for the install

one thing before i get this sorted, after step 2 I install the 3.55 patch right?

You can install the fixed game update at any time or just make sure your backup is patched. I suggest patching both

ok removed previous game data, I copied to internal hhd, and also external usb drive. I went into MM and went to game options no options checked on either. I lanched from the external in MM, it told me I need to run some game data so I said yes, 14 mins of instal and then it exited to xmb. I installed the 3.41 patch as in MM it said I was running 3.41. Then back to MM and loaded the internal version, back to xmb and ran LA noire from there.....Black screen.....Which bit am I doing wrong?

oh yeah and after trying to launch from hdd I get the message "This title cannot be loaded from Internal. Transfer to external USB HDD or change title options" also tried checking on the game data screens on both versions BD Mirror....Black screen
