Help with PSN Pkgs please

I have been trying to install some PSN pkgs on my 3.55 console. I have installed the pkg and the crack fix and I get the game to show in the XMB. Problem is when I go to launch the game I get the message that my console is on 3.55 and I need to update it. I have installed pkgs through USB stick and multiman (current one) after ftp'ng them over from computer, different games only common thread is that they are Duplex releases. Am I missing a step? Games are Far Cry 3 and Oddworld Munches Odysee HD. I have followed the directions to install (install pkg first then crack fix) with the same results. Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry we can't help you here this is a piracy related question. Obviously this isn't an instance where you have the disc and want to play on a lower firmware.
