I have been out of the scene to long and alot has changed. I have a ps3 with cfw and external hdd. Most of my games work but some require updated ps3. I dont want to use true blue.
I was reading this can be done through game patches that had required new keys??
My question is this
?
Can I patch mk9 or madden 12 not to require ps3 to be updated?

Well try not to think to hard about it. Although there has been a lot of new breakthroughs lately not much has really changed in regards to getting them to play on 3.55. The first thing you should always do when you want to know if a game you want can run on 3.55 is look at this list:
http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List
literally all the information you need will be there, and its probably the most up to date listing you will find. typically they will even go as far as to say what you need to do in order to get it to run whether is a .pkg you need to install or a EBOOT and PARAM you will need to replace. once you got that information its all about finding your fixes via google. sometimes it might be a little tricky since fileshare sites took a hit and a lot of fixes that did exist literally vanished overnight, but trust me when i say if you look hard enough youll find just about all of them.
as for the 2 games you have in question i can help you as much as i can. MK9 still has a pretty big fanbase in the modding community so it shouldnt be hard to find those fixes, but Madden might be a little more complicated since it used 3.66 keys and nobody has put out a fix for it. TB had a fix for it so its just a matter of somebody going through the work and decrypting that eboot for you.
