Demon Souls Closing it's Online Servers May 31st - Last Chance to Enjoy this Cult Classic Online

Demon Souls has got to be one of my favorite releases in the recent years, and I wanted to share this letter I received from Atlus with everyone else.

Sorry to dig up his old thread but having played the pants off Dark Souls recently, I thought I'd revisit this gem.

Only problem is, I originally stopped playing this game after my previous PS3 died - taking hundreds of hours of game play/saves with it along with all the game updates.

Having rebooted now I find I cannot get any game updates for this game at all, anywhere!

My questions are:
1. Does anyone know where I can get any updates for this game?
2. Does any one know if World Tendency darkens if you die in soul form (outside of the Nexus), on the BLUS version of the game if you're on 1.00?
3. If the above is true (and there are no updates available via the internet), can anyone pm me a 1.02 update for this game please?

I wasn't aware the BLUS version had any updates.

I have seen updates for BCJS30022 and BCAS20071.

About the World Tendency, I assume you mean in the worlds, and yes they do darken if you die in human form, at least from my experiences with the game... And I had it day one, so I assume I was playing on 1.00 back than, and I assume I still would nowadays.

Otherwise, I would suggest looking up on gamefaqs or one of the demon souls wiki for more information.

I think you're right, there was no update for the BLUS version.

I read somewhere that unless you update past 1.02 if your die outside the Nexus in Soul form (not human form), you darken your world tendency. That said, if the above is true, I've never had an update so all is good!

I believe one of the allure of Demon Souls, is that if you attempt a world in Human form, and die; then, the world will become harder. However, if you are in Hollow Form, you have nothing to risk; but at the same time, you will have less to gain.

I still need to finish both of the Souls games. I am about halfway through both games.

BTW, it's a good time to mention for those who don't know... But, if you set your system's date to Halloween or Christmas... You will have complete black and white world tendencies, respectively.
