Cobra USB Firmware giving me problems with backups?
Cobra USB Firmware giving me problems with backups? –

Hey all. I have a number of games on my 60GB NTSC launch PS3 fat. I had a custom firmware on it already, but decided to get the Cobra USB because PS2 and PS1 ISO playback seemed like a great feature. I installed the Cobra USB firmware as I was instructed, and a large number of my games will not load.
I looked into this with a friend and it seems as though my troubles come from the fact that I am on the Cobra CFW instead of whatever the one most people use is. I guess the question is, how can I get these games to run? If I have to change to a different firmware, does that mean the Cobra USB will no longer function?
Thanks so much guys and gals!!

Very strange. I'm on cobra firmware and can play any game that can be played on Kmeaw/Rebug. Are you sure you weren't on 3.41 CFW before?

Nope, I definitely was on Kmeaw 3.55. Some games that won't work (even after I uploaded the replacement EBOOT and/or PARAM.SFO files): Sonic Generations, Street Fighter Vs Tekken, and a bunch more.

Try the fix permissions function on multiMAN (you are using multiMAN to launch your games?)
Edit: internal/external?

It's internal, and yes I am using multiMAN but regardless YOU ARE THE MAN because that finally got Heavy Rain and Sonic Generations running by doing what you said!
However, I still cannot get Uncharted 3, Max Payne 3, or Batman: Arkham City (GOTY edition) to work. Is there something I might be missing with those?

Try using BD Mirror on internal, if not maybe switching to Rogero CFW 3.7 (it has built in BD Mirror)

You are the man. This worked! I didn't even think of trying it because it's greyed out in multiman

No problem, anytime, just make sure you pass it along and help out where you can

One other thing about this; I don't think I can use Rogero CFW because I am using a Cobra USB. Or if I can in fact switch to Rogero CFW, I will lose the ability to play PS1, PS2, and PSP isos.
Did I get that right?
