Change gamesave from BLES to BLUS?

Started a new thread since this is a different topic. Ok I have a gamesave for Ni No Kuni with title ID BLES01555, and want to convert it to BLUS30947 to use with a new US retail copy I own. I ftp'ed into the PS3, pulled down the BLES01555 save to my pc, then tried to change the folder name to BLUS30947 and edited the SFO file, then dropped that folder back on the PS3 hdd but that didn't work.. I can't even see the file anywhere. Also tried using the PS3 save resigner tool, but that wouldn't work either.

If anybody has any suggestions, pleeaase let me know as I have about 35 hours invested in this game and don't want to start over just because of a pesky region mismatch! lol

Can anyone help with this? I've been trying on and off all day and am not having any luck. The saves keep showing as corrupted, or they appear to look ok, but then when transferring them over to the PS3 from the usb stick, it gives a corruption error. Again, I'm trying to convert a save from BLES to BLUS (same console ID, same account). Can this be done?

EDIT: Figured it out finally, through lots of trial and error.

I'm not sure but I would just start over.
