no i know ule can do that that is how i figured out how to backup psone game saves and then convert to play the game save on my pc psx emu then back but i was talking about hoe the wiikey fusion if u don't know what i'm talking about is a wii disc drive emu like WODE but without the dum stand and i think it would be a great idea instead of other solutions than usb advance or hd loader because of load speeds and other compatibility problems.

i'm not saying any solution we have at the moment sucks i mean wow at open ps2 loader and the compatibility is nice but most of the old ide hdd are truly going bye bye and new methods would be nice.

i love my wiikey fusion on my wii with all my gcn games on the sd cards
and think using sd or any other card or usb drive that supports usb 2.0 would be nice!

so i didn't know if there would be anyway of using an actual wiikey fusion on a ps2 with some type of modding of course

I don't see how we can get anything like WiiKey Fusion.

It's not possible without adding new interfaces to the PS2. Especially since the only external interface that all Playstation 2 console models share has a bandwidth of 12Mbit/s (USB 1.1 lol...).

Besides, SATA to IDE adaptors exist, so you can use SATA disks with the network adaptor. Not to mention that there are compatible Network Adaptors with a SATA interface instead of the old IDE interface.

USBAdvance offers poor performance, but have you tried PS2ESDL yet? It does give better performance, although it will usually never exceed the performance of the PS2's CD/DVD drive.

It has i.Link port support too, but device compatibility is poor because I don't have access to the hardware that it is currently incompatible with. But it is another method of booting games (As long as the console has a i.Link port).

Booting games over the LAN is another option too.

wiikeyfusion would go over the ribbon cables of the cdvd drive like the wii does

the ribbon wire from the motherboard would plugin/link to the wiikey fusion that is why i'm even asking and also the wiikey fusion has another long ribbon cable to use with a sd card slot it came with! so no bother with usb/ide/sata

The CD/DVD drive's electronics are integrated into the PS2's mainboard. :X
The is no ribbon cable, except for the laser.

I don´t know if on PS2 it works, but i have managed some HDD´s for wii´s with FAT32 and WBFS.
I make the 1. partition FAT32 and the 2. partition WBFS.
I put on the FAT32 Partition the Apps and the Forwarder (Priiloader, WiiFlow, DOP-Mii etc)
And in the WBFS-Partition the games. It works....

So i think if you put on the FAT32 the PS2-games on the Wii there are no problems.
But you have to test if the PS2 accept this....
I think it´s working, cause the FAT32 is the 1. Partition.....
