Hi I have my ps3 sound going through my suround sound system via the toslink (optical digital cable) it sounds really good but when there is a cut scene and a conversation between characters I can not hear a word, its muffled mumbling I cant change any settings in the surround sound system so can not be this? as i assume they are pre set via toslink for optimum sound quality? I is ruineng the games I.e Batman at the min.

thanks for your help in advance Lee

under the ps3 audio settigns menu, check that you have the right settigns set for your system......sounds like what i used to get with my old dvd player that couldn't handle dts sound.....it's possible that maybe your sound system (if it's an older system maybe?) will only work with dolby, not dts? sometimes when this happens, it will do strange things like cut out the centre speaker channel.

Hi thanks for the reply, I sorted as you said above so I put Jack ass 3D into the ps3 sat down to watch it and the quality was rubbish the bits that were supposed to be 3d were all blurry, this is really irritating as I tried to use the glasses that came with the dvd and the glasses that came with my t.v and it was just crap.

my tv is an LG 47" LED 3D TV 47LM640T,

the dvd came with card red and green glasses,

I played the film through the ps3.

the quality was like there werent alot of different colours on the screen the bits that were suppose to be 3d i.e stick out the screen looked as though there was a couple of images on top of each other in blurry pinky green colours.

    thanks again guys
