Hello! My recently bought PS2 works perfect, though I don't get color in NTSC games, which is weird. I played on PSX on the very same TV and the color was there for NTSC games.
I'm using composite cable (aksonet-kabel-rca-do-ps2-1-8m.jpg) for games. And I've been wondering if a SCART cable will do the trick. Any1 of you had similar problem? Because there are many great games only in NTSC and I really don't want to miss them.

The image you supplied is not a RGB cable. It's a composite cable. You may be using the incorrect cable. Look at the back of your TV and verify that the colors of the inputs match the colors of the cables.

Sorry, my mistake, I was thinking about other cable and put other here. I meant composite :P. I even got this thing

and even with it there's no color. I verified the color of cables and everything's in order.

Just a minute before I've tried swapping cables from my PSX and still no go.

I'm having trouble figuring out what that box is. I can see it converts something to or from composite, but I can't tell what's on the other side. So to clear things up, please list exactly how the signal is getting from the PS2 to your TV.

Right, sorry. The other side looks like this (SCART, I presume)

So this is just Chinch to SCART adapter probably.

OK, so I'm going to guess you have a SCART input on your TV?

Yeah, both SCART and Chinch. You think that a direct PS2->SCART cable would do the trick?

When you said that your NTSC PSX games work fine, are you using the converter box?

Yes. I can just actually change PS2 with PSX, because they use the same cables. PS2 got FMCB, but I don't think that it has anything to do with it.

Are you playing PSX games on a PS1 or the PS2?
