PS2 Fat Network Adapter don´t work:(

Okay i got a Fat PS2, with Free MCboot on it´s memcard.
I then bought a Network Adapter (NTSC Version, my PS2 is PAL), but it doesn´t work At all it seems.
I get "Network Cable Unplugged" when i look at my PC.

anyone have any ideas?

Is the N/A suppose to Light the Ethernet cable like the PC and Routers does?

If it has lights around the Ethernet port, yes.

What is the model of your network adaptor, and did you use a crossover cable when you connected it to your PC? It will only show connectivity if a program on the PS2 has initialized and brought up the network interface (E.g. games or uLaunchELF).

well then something is wrong, mine doesn´t light up at all, have tried 2 different cables (don´t know if it´s crossover or not), and tried Duplex Half and Full in the NIC on the PC.

The Model is - SCPH-10281 (Same as you?).

Not sure what it can be, i opened it and tried messing around, but it didn´t help;S


I opened the PS2 also, and i broke the controller ribbon cable, or atleast it´s port, it seems to work if i force it down, but i don´t know what to use to keep it there,
any suggestions?

got it to work!

put some Alcohol 99% into the contact port of the N/A, and then it worked XD
