Hi guys, I hope I posted this in the correct section, if not, please forgive me..
So, I installed a Modbo v4.0 in a PS2 Slim (SCPH-77004) last night. Soldering went ok, checked for shorts, cleaned it up with alcohol and put it all together.
Starting the PS2 resulted in a nice Matrix logo and then the normal PS2 screen appeared. All good. I then decided to create a backup and switched the PS2 off.
When the backup was done, I switched the PS2 back on, but now I heard a whirring noise (like the drive motor was stuck) and no screen. The whirring noise stopped after a few seconds and I saw the Matrix logo. And the PS2 froze.
Tried this a couple of times now and it's still the same, most of the time i don't even get the matrix logo anymore, just a black screen.
Any ideas what could have gone wrong here ? Broken chip, did I blew a resistor somehow, loose wire ? I'm taking the PS2 apart tonight, but wanted to know if this is a common issue (with a common solution).
thanks in advance !
