Usually if you can see the HD with it and it gives that error it means not enough space or some sort of fault on HD and only way to fix is either reformat
or hook to PC and use WinHIIP_V1.7.6 check drive for errors and save had that happen with enough space myself before with that program and that fixed it
but I now use hdl_dump_helper_gui_2.2 seems to be more stable and less likely to error the HD hope this helps

Or maybe itīs the version of the hdl_dumb_server....

I have in mind that one version of the server makes problems, and to solve it, you must start "PS2NET" first on your PS2 over uLE and then start the server. I think that was v0.8.5.
Correct me anyone if i am wrong....

So try an earlier version v0.8.3, or take that version from RandQalan....

Which server are you using? If you are using my v0.9.2 server or the original v0.9.0 server, you should either go back to using v0.8.6 and it's client or connect your PS2 directly to your PC with a crossover cable to reduce the amount of non-PS2 chatter on your network.

    I found the problem!

I was trying to run the v0.8.1 on the ps2....but running the v0.8.2 on the pc. I read somewhere that the 8.1 version is dead now or unstable and the 8.2 version is not working the way it should. I used the 8.3 version and it installed my games PERFECTLY! thanks for the help guys.
