So we've seen the demise of a dongle and two more are scheduled to be cracked, but what I do not seem to comprehend is that with specifically the TrueBlue Dongle and the "crazies" that dislike the device are acting. The popular thing to say currently is "we want the dongle to be cracked not for warez, but to put TB out of business". Yet with the release of two eboots by the E3 Team providing working proof they developed a way to crack games based on what they discovered with tearing the TrueBlue apart all I see are people discussing free games. Barely anyone is even caring the TB might go under now nor have I read a single discussion about homebrew being run on 3.6+ machines. It seems in the end the majority of these "crazies" only cared about one thing - pirating games; which is to be expected, but they even look more the fool now for suddenly abandoning their "anti dongle and anti warez" bile.

No matter how much they want to wave their anti-piracy/warez flags, the truth is they are no different from the "TB Lovers" as they like to call them. LOL really makes me giggle inside

Well I am personally excited at the possible E3 development, not just because of the piracy.... well mostly the piracy.

I enjoy the CFW currently, and am proud owner of TB dongle, for two main reasons. Homebrew utilities esp. Showtime media player, not only does it allow me to play many different movie formats as I have a huge video lib but it has awesome plugins like navi-x, which yes I know is piracy of a different nature. Every year during black friday I buy about 100 DVD/Blu-Ray on sale and believe me they take up a lot of space, so I dl/rip the movies to be played from my HD, save the discs in fatty cd holders and junk the cases. Being able to play movies off my ps3 makes it easy for me, (I know there is ps3 media server which just came out with a release and I used it for a few years, but IMHO showtime kicks its ass.)

And second backing up my games for the same reason. I am also a proud gamestop whore. I buy used games like crazy, most games I have on my ps3 are legit owned, admittedly some aren't and when I get around to testing them, they either go on the keep and purchase list or deleted. I loved having fmcb plus hdloader on my ps2 as I was able to catalog a bunch of my ps2 games (bought even more as ps2 games went on super clearance) hell I own all the games save a few i never could find for purchase

I personally dont care what people use their piracy for, but I am scared about TB going down, right now they gave me a reason to buy games like FFXIII-2 and prototype 2, which without being able to play them without upgrading and leaving showtime I never would have purchased. IF TB disappears and E3 doesn't come through I will be upset. I guess then I will just have to either upgrade and suck it up with ps3 media server or figure out the e3 dual boot.

I dont know, this is just my two cents.

At least you don't try to hide behind lies and attack innovations for reasons mostly related to your mum or dad won't buy you a TrueBlue. I don't have nor have had a CFW or JB PS3 due to the fact the damn thing cost so much I'm scared to screw it up (and don't try to talk me out of it unless you're willing to replace my PS3 if I do). However, my Wii has a HDD, my PS2 has a HDD and you know what we're on a f'ing scene site so anyone trying to justify their actions by hiding behind lies is just full of poopy poop.

@Corpse101 I like the way you were honest with your reasoning. I don't believe anyone on a PS scene site for a minute when they try to say "Oh piracy is killing the scene I'm against it let's shut TB down it's all about the homebrew blah blah blah." That's BS. Sure, some of the homebrew is great, but everyone who has jailbroken their PS3 has gotten a pirated copy of something I'm certain. I'm partial to emulators and Showtime myself. Idk bout you, but having to convert MKV files to AVI just to watch on my OFW PS3 was lame lol. Showtime makes it so much easier just plug n play and you're ready to go. I've also got a True Blue and I think it is 100% worth it. I respect all people's opinions on the subject, but I swear some of those people like to try and make people believe their sh*t don't stink I guess and I don't buy it.

Well I will be honest with you. If the game doesn't have heavy online 99% of the chance I will pirate it. I have no shame in my game. I wont sit here and actually say I don't pirate stuff. 98% of users on here are in denial since they also pirate games. What's the big deal that's why we have CFW ps3 right? PS3 got netflix if I really wanna watch movies I can watch them on netflix and etc..etc..

I will never understand PSX-Scene "anti piracy" rules since "that other site" is the MAIN SOURCE of all piracy and Sony NEVER shut that site down. Meh idk

There has always been that "grey area" when it comes to copying games and to have rules that are actually enforced to deter blatant piracy (like linking to torrents) cuts down on a complete take-over by warez kiddie. This is why the *other* site is infested with them as they do not enforce their rules and let most things slide. As for Sony not taking them down sites like that site and this allow them to monitor "the scene" - do not think otherwise.
