Showtime/ navi x problem
there seems to be a bug with navi x and showtime... In the standalone I cannot access navi x lists... it says TypeError: match is null... The version is showing 1.05 as the latest navi x.. While in the multiman showtime everything is working fine but it's showing under naxi x version 1.07... installed version higher than available? ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting there's a pic. I'm using the same up to date showtime both standalone and multiman.
whatever is wrong..something is OFF and not getting the 24hr/7days list anymore, it shows and dissapears as quikly with "empty list" / match null errors...also the "online" TEST update from Showtime itself after installing trows an error 8xx9530 or something...what a mess :(
Having the same problem. Not sure what it is but its frustrating. If anyone has any idea id appreciate the help.
There was a problem with Plugin Central that made Showtime only show Navi-X 1.0.5 and not 1.0.7, the problem is now fixed and is available there ready to download, just open Showtime and it should download it if you have automatic plugin upgrades enabled.
If you find any other problem with Navi-X itself let me know.
I've tested the last days the Navi-X plugin with ST and ST for MM and got this errors too.
Solving the problems:
1 Errorcode 80298530 is a DRM(Digital Right Management) problem and occuring if this data will be moved.Clearing the cache should solve it most time.
2.Match Null is often a problem at weekend, if the navi-x server is really stressed.Try it again, best at another day.
3.Bad news for me were, that using navi-x for radio streams is pretty useless, but thats not a problem of the plugin, its because ST does not support the audio format. You will get the
802839827 error, or a 403(logged in)!In 1.07 you get no error, but the streams in playlist won't start!
4.If you'll try update navi-x to 1.07 ,you need to be atm on an unstable ST version.Change your setting about that in ST!
I've been using Showtime and Navi-X since 3.55 and they have at times been both reliable and stable. However, the move to 4.30 has been very buggy and it seems like most of the links in Navi tend to work. However, the program crashes every single time I try to play a file that's a live TV/RTMP stream. It doesn't matter if it's a News Station or even something from let's say a Sports stream or a live feed. The program plays the video for 1 minute, and then crashes right back to XMB. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks:
I think it's the audio codec. Any video that's streamed from Navi that requires an AAC or MP3 codec while streaming will instantly kill the video and kick you right back into the XMB. And if your an avid user of Navi, this is just about everything. If you use let's say Youtube you're usually presented with a audio codec of example: AAC, 44100Hz, stereo, 131 kb/s and every single video plays almost flawlessly, the same could be said for gametrailers and the other plugins, if the file is embedded with an audio format the program runs with no problem. It's the files that AREN'T embedded with a codec/audio file that seem to break the program for me like clockwork everytime. And honestly, I think it's only on 4.30 because I never had that problem on 3.55.
Now with that being said, The earlier versions of showtime use to feature an option in the general settings that would allow you to either enable or disable the PS3 audio codec so videos would start with or without sound. The newer versions of Showtime automatically pick the codec within the said file that's either being played locally or streamed. So here's my opinion: Enable a control in the settings that will allow the user to either start the video with or without an automatic audio codec or somehow decrypt an embedded audio file format that we can maybe add as a preset to play with our videos. (Sort of like the automatic subtitle feature)
Now since every audio input is different, (HDMI, Component) perhaps we can work together to find which audio codec within the PS3 settings gives us a more stable base to work with.
Again, this is only my opinion. I could be wrong.
noticed that also, e.g opening a HBO channel kicks back to XMB
just updated to the latest showtime via multiman, but when i go to start showtime, it kicks me out to a black screen showing which firmware version my ps3 is on then it looks like its in recovery mode . a black screen with " Please connect usb cable to your controller & press the ps button " . Iv'e tried to turn on my ps3 but it keeps going to the firmware update screen & when i try to turn it off, i get 3 bleeps , any ideas anyone, thanks
