I deleted my USB_Advance format games on my 8GB flash drive and put in my 2 ISO games on the DVD folder. But with the USBAdvance games having been deleted, now the PS2ESDL 0.816 always reports "No usable drive" or something similar message. I can't even switch to the ISO games list. I can only enter the settings menu or perform a soft exit to the boot browser.

OPL0.8 can play all my ISO games without problem.

Maybe i'll just have to put back my ul.cfg file with installed games but without the real 1Gb sliced file to be able to access the ISO game list.. I remember having 1 of my 2 USBAdvance games got deleted without the ul.cfg file updated and it didn't had any problems just dont run the game though,

Anyways, hope you could fix this problem before the release of 0.820. Oh how exciting! And oh! i'd really love to have NTFS support. I hate to see my External HDD having a FAT32 partition. ahahaha!!!

ie. rename any file to SLUS_123.45.Dummy.iso and put it in the CD folder.
    Thanks for the information.
I was wondering how I would be able to replicate that fault.
Now it seems pretty obvious where this now-bigger-than-ever bug lies...

@All: v0.820 will come without NTFS support.
Even if I added NTFS support, it might be too buggy and unsafe to use on an everyday basis.

The PS2's compiler for the IOP lacks a lot of critical functions.
I had attempted to substitute them with my own functions, but who knows whether the built driver will be of good integrity....

Plus a lot of work is involved.

And i believe there is no firmware updates for my HDD enclosure. Well, they do exist, but only for more complicated and "smart" solutions based on INIC-1430l.
This problem is exactly the same problem as the problem exhibited by PL-3507 chipsets....

Debugging this is a little tough for me, as I cannot replicate this problem with my enclosure that has an Oxford 932 chipset.

I'll see if I can get a PL-3507 based enclosure... but Firewire enclosures are really rare and expensive here in Singapore (Despite being cheaply mass produced in China).

As far as I know, only Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal won't work with any game loader because of it's anti-HDLoader system that other RnC games lack.

I was really busy with the iLink, life and school work for these few week, so nothing was done about RnC3.

    Try this:
    1. Only DVD folder with DVD ISO game files (No CD folder).
    2. No ul.cfg and any other game slices

    hehehe...

BTW, its fine without NTFS support.. an ingame reset would be quite handy though!

Brief changelog (View the included changelog for detailed changes):
    1. sceCdSync() now supports mode 11 again, so some games should not have performance issues.
    2. Skin support was extended to support configuration files (Configurator will be provided later on).
    3. Some bugs were fixed.
    4. Plugin support is now working.
    5. A bug related to game lists not being detected was fixed.
    6. List type display added.
    7. Game title sorting feature was added (Please test this!).

    Downloads/Links
    PS2ESDL v0.818C: PS2ESDL_0818C_OB.7z
    iLink support module: extension0.plg
    PS2DCDMP v0.99 + FixCRC utility: PS2DCDMP_v099+FixCRC utility.7z

About the FIXCRC utity: It is used to calculate and update the CRC32 field of the PS2ESDL v1.22 format.
It may take a few minutes to a few hours to calculate the checksums of ALL PS2ESDL-format games!!
The checksum field is designed for users to compare and check for game corruption.

For those who have games that were meant for PS2ESDL v0.810: Please use the upgraded utility in this archive FIRST: PS2DCDMP_pre-099+Upgrader.7z

Note regarding multiple device support: PS2ESDL will load from and access the first device which it finds games on.

How to use extensions like the iLink support module: Place the files into the directory where PS2ESDL is launched from.

The iLink drivers provided is better than those used in v0.817-I.
However, the Prolific PL-3507 (And other chipsets causing the same problems) is still not supported.

Additional testing notes: This will probably be the last test before the formal v0.820 release.
***If you were one of those individuals who spotted bugs in the GUI: Please report whether the bugs were really killed.

    Thank
this loader become better and better

    I have a question
to get the best performance what should I do ?
    for example in PS2DCDMP:

    if I check:
    unhook syscalls ?
    force synchronization ?
    DMA/unalingned buffer cache size?

    what does this do then?
Better speed ? better compatibility ?

    sorry for my bad english

    Thanks.

I thought that I had written a description of what the various modes and options in PS2ESDL and PS2DCDMP did... but then maybe I didn't...

    Anyway:

    Compatibility and performance options:
    1. Unhook Syscalls - Unhooks the SifSetDma and SifSetReg syscalls (Unloads PS2ESDL).
    2. Force Synchronization (FORCE SYNC) - Enables synchronous data transfer (Emulates OPL's behaviour)
    3. DMA/unaligned buffer transfer cache size - Configures the size of an internal buffer that is used for DMA and unaligned buffer data transfers (Larger is faster).

Do not enable compatibility modes (Unhook syscalls and/or FORCE SYNC modes) unless your game requires them, as some of these modes may degrade performance.

It's a plugin system used for extending the number and type of devices PS2ESDL supports.
Up to 3 plugins can be used.

Currently, there is only the iLink/IEEE1394/Firewire plugin.

Just tried v0.818C test version but the main gui glitch is still there.
When switched to iso mode, if I scroll down, the game list dissapears but reappears if scrolled down the whole page.

    I thought so too...
How many of each type of game do you have (Number of PS2ESDL, USBExtreme, CD and DVD ISO games)?

@TnA: ... I doubt that I'll add HDD and SMB support. OPL supports those methods best and PS2ESDL is meant to support external devices.
