Yes, PS2ESDL works on the SCPH-10000. It was tested on my previous SCPH-10000 before the mainboard stopped working.
I have this feeling that you are playing PAL games with a NTSC-only TV, or NTSC games with a PAL-only TV set. If you are doing either of that, you need to use GSM before launching PS2ESDL.
sorry for being noob?
what is GSM?
It's getting a little off-topic for this thread, but...
If alanganin is in Europe, the best solution would be to buy an RGB SCART or component video cable for your PS2, assuming your TV has a SCART socket or component input, would be a better solution. And picture quality for all games would be improved.
Alternatively, you can buy a cheap analogue PAL-to-NTSC converter (or NTSC-to-PAL if you're in a PAL country) and connect the PS2 to your TV through that. An example of that can be seen in this eBay listing.
Another option is to buy a PAL converter (or I guess an equivalent NTSC converter if you're in an NTSC country) that's specifically designed for the PS2. An example of that is shown here. Those convert the RGB signal from the PS2 into a PAL composite signal.
With this problem normally i would sugest to do this:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f110/bla...-v3-v14-61542/
But since you have a SCPH-1000 which is probably a NTSC console i'm not sure if it will help.
Did you try to change the System Confiruration (RGB or Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr)?
Please do not modify a SCPH-10000. These consoles are already quite rare by now.
GSM takes care of NTSC <-> PAL conversions in software, so I don't understand why hardware modification needs to be recommended.
In fact, soldering on these mainboards can be a real challenge.
It's obvious why i recommend this hardware modification, just think about it.
For example, i have a PAL PS2 here working together with an old big Gundig TV which can normally not display an NTSC
signal in color (only black and white, and i am still lucky that it makes the 60Hz, so no flickering).
If i load a game or especially a ROM from which i don't exactly know if it is NTSC or PAL, i have to check it first.
Is it black and white or with color?
After i figured out, that it is black and white, i need to reset and start again than load GSM first and start the game again.
If i have the hardware mode (with a little switch, recommended), i just load the game and play it.
That's all:)
Of course, if you have enough money to buy an expensive TV, you don't have any problems like that, but keep in mind,
that not everybody has the money to do so.
Any ways, i am not sure if it is helpfull for a NTSC PS2 at all.
That's right, even so i never had seen an SCPH-1000 from the inside before, i know how hard it is to build in a mod.chipQuote:

into an old v3 mainboard.
Without the needed skills and equipment you will kill the board in no time.
And even if you only try to do the mode i recommended, it is only suited for somebody who has the knowledge, skill and equipment.
i was thankful that there is ESDL , because i just finish god of war 2 smoothly, while opl tha game crashes in game cinematics....but frankly thus usb gaming improves using only the software, i mean getting of the stutter like final fantasy x heavily stutter on its movies can esdl manage to get rid of that................:)
Hi!
I been trying to get games working on my ps2 for like 2 days now. I got .iso files on my computer and i tried booting with spaw magic, and FMCB but none of them worked becuase the ps2 cant find the usb, hdd. When i try with a disk it says plz insert a ps1 or ps2 disk. So i tried this project now but when i try to install a game on my usb (8gb fat32) it says "Unable to create disc image file on target drive: %s".
What i need to figure out is how to boot. Swapmagic i need to buy, same with memorycard that is mixed with. Is there no way to take a file from a usb/hdd and then read it on the ps2 without modding the ps2? Like creating a booting usb that installs a program to the memory car on the ps2?
I tried with DVD-RW and CD-R for disk booting and i got a ps2 slim. Model SCPH-70004.
