Hey there, you may want to check out my thread in the design corner. I'm good at photoshop too. Some smudging techniques that I have been trying out, not perfected yet.

that was the one of the first places i went but i couldnt post links and i didnt think to attach them lol
i do love a good smudge and ive not seen any one do a cross hatch style smudge before

ive got a couple of tut if you to see them mate
