hi ppl on the wrold wide web I have a guide on how to mod my ps3 but was wondering if any one had a recent one with the latest framware ? links ? tips ? I dont have the money to buy a new ps3 lol so I dont want a brick :s help will be highly apperciated

What firmware is your PS3 on and what firmware did it come with?

The firmware version can be found if you turn on the system, go to Settings->System Settings->System Information and look at the System Software version.

i havent been home to check I work a lot , but today I will see I´ve never done anything to my ps3 so whatever firmware it came with it has , Im kinda worried cause its new and I might have how would you put it , a version that hasnt been hacked yet ?

It's a bad thing. You need a hardware flasher (progskeet or E3 flasher) to downgrade to 3.55 in order to jailbreak it. It's only possible to downgrade to the firmware that came with the system, so if it came with something above 3.55 you can't even downgrade.
