I am new to video games (except for when I was younger). My nephew got me started not too long ago. Recently his system went FUBAR. Power cord short, console jack loose on board, power reset switch literally fell off. He can't afford a new one let alone getting it repaired. I am a mechanic and I love to repair things so I made all the neccesary repairs. The system came on a few times without the button(had to jump the contacts) but now the red light won't come on. I am determined to repair this system and after reading some of the things you can do to upgrade these systems, what the hell I'm in. At the moment I need to make sure it is just the power/reset switch that is bad and the go from there. I am getting mv readings on the switch but I don't know the correct mvolts that I should be looking for and where. Any knowledge and wisdom on these system that you can share would greatly appreciated. I have always believed you are never to old to learn something new. That is unless you are dead.
