Hi all, new to the psx scene

Just a quick note to say hi, been into the xbox scene for a long time and thought it was about time i looked at playstations so have a lot to learn. I do a lot with hardware mods and repairs for xbox's so should hopefully help me out with the learning process. A the moment i have 3 old ps2, 2 phat with hd's and one slim which have been in the back of a wardrobe for years so gonna do some reading before i invest in ps3 stuff.

Any suggestions of what console model is a good starting point would be helpful, cheers.

Find a PS3 wth firmware at or below 3.55. Otherwise, you will need to go throuhg the difficult process of downgrading. I'm assuming you want custom firmware on your PS3.
