Hello - PS3 v3.55

Hi All, I am from South Africa and kinda new to PSX-scene. I have a Ps3 firmware version 3.55. I paid a hefty sum to have Rogero Manager v8.1 loaded. I want to change the internal harddrive (160 GB) to something bigger (500GB). I need to make a backup of all the games currently on the internal drive and then do change the drives and to reload Rogero Manager(maybe a newer version). I would like to try to do this myself. Could someone please help me in the right direction.

If you're not worried about trophies, then you can use the official back up method to do this. You just need a FAT32 formatted external hard drive at least the size of your used space on the internal. Use this guide: PS3™ | Backup Utility

Don't worry, your game back ups will be back up too. Only trophies will not get backed up.

Thanks alot, I will give it a try this evening, Will the backup manager(Rogero Manager) be backed up as well?

It will back up everything except trophies. I know because I just did it a few weeks ago. My homebrew apps, one backed up game image and my user accounts were backed up.

Would you mind me asking how much you paid to have Rogero Manager loaded on the PS3?

Hi Thanks, I paid R1500.00 Which was exactly half of what I paid for the console. It was myself and a colleague which means the guy that did it for us managed to get the value of a new console for loading Rogero Manager on two machines.
