Hello i am new and woud like some hlpe with PS3 for my son, thank you for any help

My name is mark and i just purchased a PS3 .I have a ps2 and my son loved it . Now the version, I have is a 3.70 ps3 move, and I would like to know how I can copy the games for my son, as sometimes he scratches the game cd and i would like to keep the original in good shape so i do not have to buy another game paying 2 times for the same game. I know with the PS2 these were in a *.iso format and I could make back up copies for my son,which helped alot. So I hope somebody can help me .I wish to thank you both from my son and myself.

There is no way to play any backups on that console at this time. I would look into buying an xbox 360 instead and flash the drive so you can play backups that way.

So your solution to his problem is for this Dad to locate a low firmware console...cause there are so many of those on the store shelves these days eh mate? Buying some worn out console on Ebay sounds enticing. The 360 will always play backups. The PS3 will not. Troll fail.

I am buying a 360 just to hack it. I am bored I hacked my PS3 that was cool, hacked my wii that was the first thing I ever hacked. rooted my cell (froyo) that was easy. Hacked my psp that was awesome, hacked my kids DSI that made me the coolest dad in the world.
