Hi there. I'm not sure if I used to be a member here way back when I first got into PS2 modding. I just recently got my PS2 (version 7) back out and am playing/modding with it again. I know I was a member at a couple other sites, some of which seem to have disappeared over the years. My PS2 is modded with a DMS 4 EZI Pro (as I didn't trust my soldering skills back then, still not sure I do now either... lol) that I picked up pretty much as soon as they became available.
I also now currently put FCMB on my memory card, though I don't need it. I also just picked up a "new" v7 PS2 off a popular online auction site for my kids (might look for one more yet so they each have their own, depending on how much they use/fight over it) and am looking to pick up a bulk package of network adapters. I plan on giving one of the adapters (and a hard drive and a copy of FMCB w/ HDL) to the one teacher at the school district I work at who has his PS2 in his classroom as part of his curriculum. (He also has a Sega Genesis, NES, PS1, and I think another old console as well.)
One of the things I'd like to do with the one(s) for the kids, and possibly mine too, is the hardware hack to solder a wireless controller receiver and memory card to the inside of the case, just to keep them from getting lost/broken. If I get one for each of the kids, I think I'll look into getting the clear, colored (1 pink for my daughter and 1 green for my son), acrylic cases.
Also possibly in the market for a PSTwo and HDCombo for easier traveling. The PS2 with a HDD has made a few trips on vacations and isn't much of a bother, but an even smaller version would be better for obvious reasons. Might even look into one of the small LCD screens for it, be one way to keep the kids entertained on the drive. But this is the last thing on my list of things I'm looking for and will probably wait until next tax return or the one after that.
And if you haven't noticed, I also tend to ramble a lot.
