my friend told me about this site and i dont know if this site can unlock his iphone or not and i know it cannot be unlocked by any software because of the firmware is 5.1.1 and also because of baseband .

I was about to say scam big time, but it looks like you already found that out. If you have an ATT Iphone that you want unlocked just call att customer care and put in a request. Works on any ios firmware. The only catch is that it cant be under the orig 2 yr contract, or marked as a bad esn. You dont even have to be a current ATT user. Also heard some people be denied because of the phone not ever being under contract, but if you just say that in the first case you might have success. If you have a Verizon phone you need to be a verizon user to unlock through them. But if you have a 4s you can get the gsm side unlocked too. Dunno for sprint.
If you have a 4s and cannot get an unlock through the provider (bad esn, under contract, not a subscriber etc) you can always get a gevey sim which works for gsm networks. There is a different version of gevey for verizon/sprint and att phones though. The 4s can be unlocked up to 5.1.1 with the gevey.
If you have a iphone 4 you are out of luck on 5.1.1 currently unless you get a provider or factory unlock. You can still jailbreak it though
If you have any questions just ask and I will try to answer. I currently have a Verizon 4s on the T-Mobile Network.
