    Hi guys,

I have one question that i sure someone know the answer. If i buy a BL recorder and copy an original game to a BL-R, the ps3 can read this disc? Like if i go to multiman and try to read de unit of the BL, it's open the folder of the disc?

I think that put the games on the Hd a method very bad. If exist a way to run the games like the XBOX-360 the popularity of the ps3 goes up.

The cost of the BL-R and the recorder are getting cheap. Someone has to work to this work. This way the ps3 is like de NINTENDO WII. LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH

    Only the PS3 BR-Drive can read PS3 games. Ordinary BR-Drives can't.

You say me that an ordinary BR drive cant read the Ps3 games, but if a do like the nintendo wii: copy the game using the ps3, put all files in my pen drive, go to my pc and burn a BD-R with the files in my pen drive. I wanna know if the ps 3 can read this this in the multiman.

Anybody have tried this? The discs of the wii can read too im my pc. I need send the iso file via ftp to my Pc.

    It's just an idea.

The best bet would be to rip a .iso image of a original ps3 game disc via the ps3 (not sure if thats even possible) then transfer the .iso file to your pc and use image writing software to write the .iso file to your BL-R disc.
Now as for will multi-man load the disc you wont know untill you try.
Putting games on you hard disk will be alot less work, cheaper and you know it works already i would stick with that.

Sorry, i see what you are saying now.

The answer is no, i don't know why, but try it for yourself and you will see.

c4eva has said he may move onto PS3 hacking at some point, so maybe we will see a custom BR-Drive firmware similar to the 360.

no it will not work. simply because even with multiman the ps3 itself still checks the barcode on the ps3 disc for originality and to make sure a disc is in the drive. the BD-R doesn not have this barcode, atleast to my knowledge it doesnt. but it wont work. not until someone comes out with a way to bypass the disc check all together.

even tho some backup managers say "discless support" this means it will play some or alot of games discless, but not them all.

Yes, yes, yes We all have to start somewhere and the highly technical advice in some forums only confuses newbies. What do we have to do to play a downloaded H-game from this site?

You could use the original backup method for geohot's jb without changing any strings in eboot and placing the usrdir files in a bd-r

It requires special sectors written on the Bluray to make the PS3 recognize the game. Only special factory recorders are able to do so.

You can try with a blank dvd...
For example Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is just only 3.5gb...
If Ps3 or Multiman can't saw the disc as a game, you can try Multiman's file manager.
Find the Eboot file on disc & click on it...
If this way works, Bdvd will works...
