Using ARMAX with ESR

I FMCB 1.8 installed and my PS2 is not modded. I was wondering if you could somehow use use an ARMAX with ESR patched games? I don't have a Codebreaker which everyone here seems to use for that.

search google for codebreaker 9.2. then follow the tutorial in the homebrew section to patch it to work with fmcb, hdl, and ESR.
